Northern California Bedroll Conference 2009

CEAC NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BEDROLL CONFERENCE

JULY 15-16-17, 2009

You are cordially invited to the 28th Annual Northern California Bedroll Conference at Lake Almanor in Plumas County.  This tri-regional, North Coast, Northern California, Sacramento Motherlode, CEAC meeting brings together Public Works Directors and senior staff from the three regions in an informal atmosphere to discuss new and challenging aspects of public works issues.

The meeting is held at Camp Conery, a PG&E campground near Canyon Dam adjacent to Lake Almanor.  Lodging consists of cabins with bunk beds, including mattresses.  You should be prepared with your own bedroll, pillow, towels, toiletries and teddy bear.  Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged.  Beds are assigned on a first come first served basis so you may want to be prepared with an alternative such as a cot, vehicle or tent if the cabins fill up.

At this time we have several speakers lined up to talk about a number of issues and we are continuing to work on filling some time slots to keep the event interesting.

The $75 registration fee covers the cost of the Cabin, meals and refreshments.  Registration forms and payment should be sent directly to Tom Hunter at the address on the registration form.  For those interested in golf, please respond directly to John Quincy at the address on that registration form.

To allow us to plan accurately for the food and refreshments, as well as to assure a bunk bed if that is your choice, please send your registration form and fee to Tom Hunter as soon as possible, but no later than June 30th.  If you have any questions or a suggestion on a topic of interest please contact me at 530-745-7527 or wzicker@placer.ca.gov.
